Bell is currently one of the largest contractors in the UK, both in terms of our geographical coverage and our directly employed workforce. We have been a family owned and operated company since 1988 when our founders, Annette and George Bell, set up their commercial painting and decorating business – Bell Decorating Group Ltd.

Since then, our group has grown and developed organically and through acquisitions, and we now offer a full spectrum of building maintenance services; from Commercial & Residential Painting & Decorating, Passive Fire Works, Roofing, Flooring, Planned & Reactive Maintenance. In addition to this, we also provide a variety of Health & Safety Services specialising in CDM Principal Design. With 34 branches located across the country, our works are delivered by expert teams who can provide in depth knowledge and offer the best solution for your project.

Our objective is to provide the optimum quality of workmanship in all aspects of the services that we offer; maintaining these high standards has ensured year on year repeat business from the likes of Amey, Bupa, BT, Barratt Homes, Scotrail, National Trust, Equans, The Royal Household together with various NHS Trusts, local authorities, and housing associations.

Our key strength as a business is our people, we aim to help every member of staff progress at Bell and are proud to have Directors on our board that began their career with us as Apprentices. We spend time developing training programmes to help our employees achieve their goals and instil a sense of pride. We seek out business opportunities to build employee and community skills and are considered one of the largest employers of apprentices within the construction industry.
