8P/6B Complex Needs Bungalow, for Rural Housing Association

Suitably experienced Building Contractors are invited to register an “Expression of Interest” in respect of proposed works to construct, 1nr, 8P/6B Complex Needs bungalow, for Rural Housing Association at Kircubbin, Co Down.

The project will entail the construction of a single 8 person / 6-bedroom Complex Needs bungalow on a 0.05-hectare site. Works will include the construction of a traditional masonry detached bungalow, along with full Mechanical and Electrical package and external groundworks.  The contract duration is approximately 15 months and will be administered via NEC3 form of contract. All works must comply with NIHE Design Guide, Lifetime Homes and Secured by Design standards.

Interested contractors should be capable of meeting the following criteria:

• Possess Public Liability Insurance cover of £10 million.
• Possess Contractors ‘All Risks’ Insurance of £2 million.
• Possess Employers Liability Insurance cover of £10 million.
• Possess Professional Indemnity Insurance of £2 million.
• Possess Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) certificate.
• Possess 3^rd party Environmental Management (EMS) certificate
• Possess 3^rd party certification – Buildsafe NI Initiative
• Constructionline Registered
• Have experience within the last 7 years of acting as a Principal Contractor, with at least 2 past project examples of similar nature and complexity.
