Support Manager Abbeyfield & Wesley

Abbeyfield & Wesley are looking for a Support Manager to join our enthusiastic and innovative team. Working in conjunction with the Housing & Support Manager, you’ll oversee the day to day management of an Abbeyfield & Wesley House. You’ll be a key player in the effective running of the house, including planning and preparing meals. With a commitment to the wellbeing of older people, you’ll ensure efficient, caring and compliant provision of the excellent service Abbeyfield & Wesley are renowned for.

The role will primarily be based in Ballymena. However there may be a requirement to work from other Abbeyfield & Wesley locations. Access to transport is therefore a necessity.

Essential Criteria :

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to plan and prepare meals for up to 10 people.
• A desire to encourage dignity, respect and quality of living for elderly people.
• Proven ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to keep records and monitor stock and purchases.
• Experience of working in, or knowledge of, a supported housing/health & social care environment.

Desirable Criteria:

• Food Safety qualification
• First Aid in the workplace qualifications
• A willingness to achieve necessary qualifications to further develop your  expertise and standards of service.
