Senior Support Worker, House in the Wells, Derry-Londonderry Apex Housing Association

The House in the Wells is a male harm reduction hostel accommodation giving support and care for up to 24 homeless men with addiction issues and is situated close to the city centre of Derry~Londonderry.  The House in the Wells provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year

Essential Criteria

Relevant qualification (equivalent to QCF level 3)

Must be currently registered with NISCC or must achieve registration within 6 months if new to the sector.

At least 2 years experience working with homeless individuals and/or individuals who suffer addiction problems in a residential setting with the use of harm reduction for addiction & experience/knowledge of harm reduction

1 year’s experience in administrative duties e.g. completing support plans, housing forms etc

1 year’s experience of supervising staff

Relevant experience in the management of monies (e.g. rent payment, petty cash and resident’s personal monies).
