We are now looking to strengthen our Corporate Procurement Team to create a dynamic and responsive procurement service.

A bit about the role

As Senior Corporate Procurement Officer you will be responsible for ensuring that Clanmil maintains a strategic approach to all procurement activities by having oversight of the implementation and adherence to the Association’s Corporate Procurement Policy ensuring that this is aligned to business outcomes which support the objectives and priorities of Clanmil

You will act as the centre point of expertise on procurement and provide advice and support to teams across the organisation as well as to external stakeholders we provide a procurement service to. You will lead all procurement exercises to ensure we achieve compliance and a positive outcome in relation to value for money and adherence to best practice procurement. You will also assist managers across the business to negotiate and manage contracts, suppliers and consider commercial risk through our procurement activity.

A bit about you

You will have a proven record on procurement approaches and delivery. You must have strong and an advanced ability to work with technology including Excel. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders, including Suppliers and Service Providers, be able to work to tight deadlines and when required be able to work under pressurised situations. You will be self-motivated, have strong leadership skills and be able to manage yourself and your workload without management intervention.

Experience of managing staff to include setting / monitoring targets and performance management is desirable.
