Work with NIFHA

NIFHA, Chief Executive

Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations (NIFHA) is the representative body for housing associations in Northern Ireland and a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee.

Together, supported by the Department for Communities and the Housing Executive, our members provide more than 57,000 social and affordable homes including family accommodation, sheltered and supported housing and shared ownership homes. Our members also invest millions every year in providing vital services and facilities for local communities.

Addressing inequalities in housing has been at the core of all our work. With record numbers of homelessness and more than 30,000 people living in housing stress across Northern Ireland, there is an urgent need for more social and affordable housing.

The incoming Chief Executive will provide leadership to the organisation but also to the sector at an unprecedented time. As the influential public voice for NIFHA and its membership the role demands a skilled communicator, comfortable to listen as well as to lead in negotiating and influencing with policy makers and funders at every level. It is not essential that you have direct experience within the social housing sector though it is imperative that you can demonstrate a detailed understanding of the Northern Ireland socio-economic backdrop and an awareness of the issues relevant to social housing.

Closing date for receipt of completed applications is 12 noon Wednesday 3rd August 2022.

NIFHA is committed to equality for all.
