Abbeyfield & Wesley would like to invite enthusiastic applicants to apply for the role of HR Manager. We’re a dynamic and forward-thinking charitable association providing Housing & Support to older people.

The role will offer an array of interesting projects and responsibilities and the successful candidate will become part of the Association’s senior management team with overall responsibility for a full HR function.

Key objectives:

  • Conduct performance management, disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Monitor sickness and absence levels and take appropriate action.
  • Supervise the recruitment process and selection of employees.
  • Deliver bespoke staff training when required.
  • Monitor the online training platform for compliance.
  • Provide coaching and advice on HR Matters to management.
  • Remain up to date with NI employment law matters.
  • Provide reports, statistics and other information to the Chief Executive and Board.
  • Participate in inspections and audits and ensure any required corrective action is implemented.
  • Provide management and support to the HR Officer.
  • Attend Senior Management Team meetings and report on HR matters.
  • Maintain interdepartmental relationships and where necessary deputise for other members of the senior management team.
  • Undertake project works as required by the Chief Executive.
  • Shape a positive culture by fostering inclusivity, respect, and alignment with organizational values.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree Level Qualification in Human Resources Management or suitable equivalent.
  • CIPD Membership.
  • 3 years’ experience in an HR Management role.

Desirable Criteria: 

  • CIPD Level 5 in Human Resource Management.
  • Experience of working within the housing and care sector.
  • Experience in providing multi-site HR advice.
