A bit about us

We are one of NI’s leading providers of high quality housing and supported housing services and our aim is to make a real difference to the lives of the people living in our homes.  We’re a driven, forward-thinking organisation, and we’ve ambitious plans for growing and modernising our services.  This is an exciting time to help us shape services within our ICT team. We are looking for motivated, flexible and creative individuals to bring passion and commitment to supporting our staff in a dynamic and changing environment.

A bit about the role

We are seeking a ICT Support Engineer to provide first line ICT support on our service helpdesk.  Your normal working days will be Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6pm, but you must be flexible in order to meet customers’ needs including some evening work.

This is a responsive role – we have schemes across Northern Ireland so you will need a full driving license to travel to meet the requirements of the post, without reliance on public transport.   Within the small ICT team, you’ll have opportunities to develop your skills working on a range of projects and systems.

The purpose of your role is to be the first point of contact for customer incidents, resolving these where possible and escalating as required.  You’ll promote ICT security and self-service, supporting our staff in a professional manner and taking ownership of incidents.

A bit about you

To flourish in the role, you will have a really good understanding of what great customer experience looks like.  You’ll have at least 1 year’s recent experience of working in an ICT helpdesk environment (within the last 3 years), providing first line ICT technical support in a busy office environment.

You’ll also have at least 1 year’s practical experience in in supporting users of the Microsoft Office 365 application suite, demonstrated with examples on your application form.

What you do need, is to be resilient, able to build trust and have a desire to help people do well.   Building and maintaining respectful relationships is key.

We’ll be impressed if you have knowledge of the social housing sector in Northern Ireland but don’t worry as long as you have the curiosity to find out, we’ll help you.

Are you interested?

Great; all you need to do is let us know more about what you will bring to the role, your experience and for you to tell us how you live our values.  Please download the attached job description and person specification.  When you are ready to apply simply click ‘Apply Online’ to get started or if you want more information give our HR team a call on Tel No: 028 9087 6011.

In return, we offer a fantastic rewards package from generous annual leave, healthcare, pension contributions and an award-winning work-life balance package which we are happy to tell you about.
