Finance Assistant Clanmil Housing

As one of the largest NI Housing Associations, we currently provide over 5,500 homes throughout Northern Ireland. Our purpose is to provide homes for people to live well.  We are currently at a time of immense change but this also provides us with many great opportunities.

A bit about the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to work in a fast paced environment.  As the Finance Assistant you will be providing support to the Finance team for a range of functions, with a focus on Accounts Payable and General Ledger.  You will provide high quality accounting information, relevant to internal user needs, while maintaining and improving working relationships with our suppliers.

A bit about you

You will have good numeracy and literacy skills and a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent with at least one years’ experience working in a busy finance office environment OR at least three years’ experience working in a busy finance office environment.

You will be computer literate with at least one years’ experience in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook and have at least one year’s experience of the operation of a computerised purchase ledger system.  Being enrolled in an accounting technician course would also be advantageous.
