We are a Housing Association in North Belfast providing affordable quality housing to those in need. We are continually expanding our operations in Belfast and across Northern Ireland and currently have a stock portfolio of almost 1100 properties. We have a team of 40 staff and wish to recruit a suitably qualified person for the following post:
CLERK OF WORKS (Ref: COW/05/23)
The Clerks of Works will represent the interests of the association during new build and rehabilitation works by ensuring site operations and construction works comply with relevant contract documents, client requirements, and all current legislation and are delivered to specification on time and on budget. The post holder will also be required to inspect response maintenance works outside the planned maintenance programme and provide support to our Maintenance Department as directed.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as Clerk of Works/Surveyor/Trade Foreman,
    on new and occupied sites
  • Construction related training/qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2
    or 3, BTEC National Award or equivalent

The appointment will be made within the terms of the NJC Conditions of Service and salary will be at NJC Point 26, £32,909 – NJC Point 30, £36,294 plus optional contributory pension scheme currently at employer contribution of 19.5% (£6,417pa), 35 days annual leave (incl. stats) rising to 40 days after 5 years, private healthcare and excellent work and family friendly policies.
