Working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders the Clerk of Works will ensure the rigorous and detailed inspection of plant & materials and workmanship throughout the building process, to deliver defect free properties at handover.

Criteria
To be shortlisted candidates need to provide evidence of the following as a minimum:
1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Clerk of Works on housing projects.
OR
6 months experience as a time served tradesperson in the construction industry with site and personnel management in the minimum capacity of foreperson.
OR
Hold a level six qualification in a construction related subject and at least 1 year’s relevant experience.
2. Demonstrable IT literacy skills with an emphasis on electronic reporting in a paperless environment.
3. Evidence of the ability to prepare progress reports, read and interpret design drawings.
4. Evidence of ability to manage defects, assess and identify risks.
5. Knowledge of current building regulations and associated standards and maintenance of large buildings and/or housing estates.
6. A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport*
(*where an applicant indicates that a disability prohibits them from driving, this criterion will be waived at the shortlisting stage.
