A bit about us

We are one of NI’s leading providers of high-quality housing and supported housing services and we try to make a real difference to the lives of the people living in our homes. We want someone like you, who has the passion and motivation to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives.

A bit about the role

As Chef, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation and cooking of meals and the supervision of the kitchen. You will have completed an NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Catering & Hospitality or an equivalent catering/kitchen related qualification and you should have some previous experience of working in a kitchen. It would be beneficial if you have a Basic Food Hygiene certificate and have some knowledge of the diets of older people / menu planning. If you don’t have these, you must be willing to attend any training we will organise for you. You must also be able to verbally communicate in the English language with the client group.

It’s important to us that you have the compassion and empathy to work with vulnerable people in a residential home setting.

In return, we offer a fantastic rewards package from generous annual leave, pension contributions and an award winning work-life balance package which we are happy to tell you about.

Want to apply?

Great; all you need to do is let us know more about what you will bring to the role, your experience and for you to tell us how you live our values every day. You can do this by downloading an application form from our website: www.clanmil.org or contact a member of our HR team via email at recruitment@clanmil.org.uk

You will find a full job description and person specification for the post on the website too.

Closing date: 12noon, Wednesday 29th July 2020
