A bit about the role

As Chef, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation and cooking of meals and the supervision of the kitchen.  You will have completed an NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Catering & Hospitality or an equivalent catering/kitchen related qualification OR have at least 5 years’ experience of working in a kitchen/catering environment.  It would be beneficial if you have a Basic Food Hygiene certificate and have some knowledge of the diets of older people / menu planning.  If you don’t have these, you must be willing to attend any training we will organise for you.  You must also be able to verbally communicate in the English language with the client group.

It’s important to us that you have the compassion and empathy to work with vulnerable people in a residential home setting.

In return, we offer a fantastic rewards package from generous annual leave, pension contributions and an award winning work-life balance package which we are happy to tell you about.
