NIFHA are currently seeking to recruit up to four Business Committee members from within the Housing Association membership.
Overall Purpose of the Business Committee Role
The role of the Business Committee is to have oversight of the finance, risk management and service standards, as delegated to it by NIFHA Board.
It is generally advisory and its purpose may be varied at any time by NIFHA Board.
The Committee should have at least three members, all non-executive. The Chair of the Business Committee should be the Vice Chair of NIFHA Board. At least one member must have significant, recent and relevant financial experience. The NIFHA Chair should not be a member of the Business Committee. The quorum for meetings is three members.
The term of membership of the committee shall be three years, with the option to extend for one further period of three years.
