We are a Housing Association in North Belfast providing affordable quality housing to those in need. We have expanded our operations across Northern Ireland to over 1000 properties and we currently employ 40 staff. We wish to recruit suitably qualified persons for the following post:

ASSISTANT HOUSING OFFICER

This is a full-time (37 hours per week) permanent position and will be based in the Association’s Housing Department, Flax Street, Belfast.

Reporting to the Housing Manager, the Assistant Housing Officer will provide administrative, clerical and organisational support to the Housing Department. The post holder will provide responses to a wide range of enquiries from tenants, residents and other customers and will be expected to add value to the quality of service by delivering these activities in a consistent fashion, promoting excellent communication and query handling with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate must have:

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English at Grade C or above), or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1year experience in a similar role (within the last 5 years)
• Experience in the use of MS office (including Word, Excel and Outlook) gained in an office environment
• Experience of customer service

The appointment will be made within the terms of the NJC Conditions of Service and salary will be at NJC Point £20,092-£23,541 plus optional contributory pension scheme currently at employer contribution of 19.5% (£3,917 pa), 34 days annual leave (incl. stats) rising to 39 days after 5 years’ service and excellent work and family friendly policies.
