Housing Bodies Express Concern Over Potential Cuts to DfC Budget

NIFHA has today, in collaboration with other key housing partners, outlined our concerns regarding the potential cuts to the budget for the Department for Communities for 2023/24. Alongside housing sector organisations Homeless Connect, Housing Rights and the Chartered Institute of Housing, we have outlined the devastating impact that cuts to funding for vital housing services such as the supply of new social housing and the Supporting People programme would have on the most vulnerable in our society.

We have urged the Department for Communities to carefully consider the equality and service impacts in considering its future budget allocations and ensure that during this time of economic pressures across all of society, that those most in need are not left behind.
