New housing links with Boston, MA

Last week Brian Golden Director of Boston Planning & Development Agency visited Belfast. This agency has a role to oversee development of affordable housing in the city of Boston.
Following a request from Belfast City Council, NIFHA chief executive Ben Collins arranged for him to view the former Mersey Street Primary School residential scheme by Connswater Homes and the Choice scheme at Skainos. Mr Golden was impressed by the quality of housing provision and has invited people from the sector to visit Boston, to see how they are delivering affordable homes.

There is a possibility for a joint trip with Belfast City Council to explore this. If you would like to register your interest in this please email NIFHA communications officer Sue Doherty.
