- Housing Associations provide over 30,000 self contained or shared units of accommodation
- Housing Associations provide accommodation for general needs (mainstream & sheltered) and supported tenants
- Housing Associations exceeded the development output target set by the DSD; 1,595 units of accommodation were started in 2007/08
- Over 3,500 general needs households were accommodated in 2007/08.
- In 2005/06 General Needs lettings showed 33% of new tenants were single adults, 32% were older people whilst 26% were families with children.
