On Wednesday 23 June 2010 Alpha Housing hosted their Annual General Meeting at Belfast Castle.The older people’s advocate for Northern Ireland, Dame Joan Harbison, gave an insightful and entertaining talk on her work as the older people's advocate.

While she was there Dame Joan presented bouquets to a number of Alpha's residents who are celebrating being 90 years young in 2010. She also presented one of Alpha's couples with a bouquet who are celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary.
