Oaklee's Belgravia celebrates its 25th Anniversary

One of Oaklee Homes Group most significant and well known properties The Belgravia on the Lisburn Road celebrated its 25th anniversary in the provision of quality social housing for general needs tenants.The Belgravia was officially opened in 1985 by Rev Sydney Callaghan and signified a flagship for the voluntary housing movement at this time. The Belgravia originally a private hotel was bombed in 1983. With its unique clientele, representing the best in the history of the city and its characters, Rev Sydney Callaghan fought with Oaklee for the conversion of the hotel premises to social housing which would include social accommodation and support for the aged residents.
